Who we are
AK EVENTS & MEDIA LTD, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, is the data controller for information you send through the talent application form on akeventful.co.uk. Contact us at hello@akeventful.co.uk or 020 2886 4351.
What we collect
- Contact and identity details: name, stage name, email, phone, date of birth, gender (optional), nationality and country of residence.
- Professional details: talent category, experience, languages, availability, portfolio links and the description of your work.
- Your CV and, if you choose, a photo.
- Passport details and a copy of your passport data page.
Why we use it
We use your information to assess you for performance and crew roles, contact you about castings, prepare contracts, and arrange travel, visas and work permits for jobs outside your home country. Our lawful bases are your consent and taking steps at your request before entering a contract. Where we arrange work in the UK, we also use passport information to meet our legal duty to check the right to work.
Who sees it
Only our talent and booking staff. When you are offered a specific job, we may share the details needed with the event organiser, venue, travel agent or immigration authorities for that job. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
If you are not placed, we delete your passport copy within 6 months and the rest of your application within 12 months, unless you ask us to keep you on our roster. If you work with us, we keep records for as long as the law requires.
International transfers
For overseas jobs your data may be shared with organisers outside the UK. We only do this for a job you have accepted, and we use appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@akeventful.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We never charge applicants
Applying, auditioning and receiving a contract are free. If anyone asks you for money in our name, contact us immediately.
